The Washington National Opera is a comprehensive, producing opera company within the Kennedy Center, complete with in-house costume shop, stage management, music staff, properties creation, rehearsal facilities and more. Creates the artistic vision and ensures the economic viability of WNO by establishing the highest quality standards.

During her time with the WNO Sydney worked all sessions of the 25/26 Chorus Auditions, processed contracts, logged payroll, ran checks, helped facilitate the chorus offer process, attended special programming, dress rehearsals shows, and so much more. This internship afforded her the opportunity to see the inner workings of a the Opera industry first hand and offered many opportunities to learn, work, and see new performances at the Kennedy Center. 

DC Music Summit is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports local musicians and the DC music industry by fostering inclusion, community engagement, professional development, and networking. Its annual full day event is an exchange hub of education, inspiration, solutions in support of the health and growth of the DC Music industry.

During her time with DCMS Sydney worked on social media promotions, scheduled artistic interviews, and created and hosted the DCMS Speaks Desk on Instagram Live during the Summits in the spring. This internship and nonprofit work afforded her the opportunity to flesh out her skills as an MC and host, as well as better her understanding of the inner working of running an effective and engaging social media account that remains true to the values of the organization.
